The coveted fruit of the Tasmanian Pepper shrub is also is commonly known as mountain pepper, as it thrives in the mountainous regions of southern Australia. Famed for its nuanced flavour of dark berries and pepper with a woody undertone, Pepperberry adds a wonderful spice to all manner of sweet and savoury dishes. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste, as the flavour can be quite potent. Apply Pepperberry to dishes after cooking, as the spice dissipates in high temperatures, or simply add the berries to your pepper mill, and grind to season as required.
