(Terminalia ferdinandiana)
Also known as Gubinge, Billygoat plum, or green plum, Kakadu Plum is a small fruit native to the northern regions of Australia, particularly the Kimberley and Kakadu regions. This spectacular Aussie plum is a notable fruit due to its exceptional nutritional content and its mildly sour, slightly sweet flavour which is similar to a gooseberry or green plum. Due to its fibrous flesh, Kakadu Plum is best when finely chopped, cooked, or minced to a pulp, and can be used to infuse a distinctly Australian flavour in all types of sweet and savoury creations. Remove large seed and rinse before use.
