Wintjiri Wiru – Kurpany.

What an incredible experience to be a part of – Andrew Fielke had the pleasure of attending the global launch of Wintjiri Wiru last week – Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia’s new cultural storytelling experience at Ayers Rock Resort.

Brought together by Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia in consultation with the Anangu Consultation Group, this immersive experience brings to life a chapter of the Anangu Mala ancestral story which sits between Kaltukatjara and Uluru using state-of-the-art drone, sound and laser light technology. A world-first of its kind. Wintjiri Wiru, which suggests ‘a beautiful view out to the horizon’ in the local language is certainly that; the show takes place in the cultural heart of Australia, and is set against the stunning backdrop of Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

Wintjiri Wiru’s menu celebrates native Australian produce through a selection of canapés, cocktails and a gourmet food hamper as part of the Sunset Dinner experience. The team here at Creative Native have worked closely with Executive Chef Patrice Falantin and Indigenous chef Mark Olive to develop a stunning array of dishes to accompany both the Sunset Dinner, and After Dark experiences.
