(Kunzea pomifera)
Also known as emu apples or munthari, Muntries are a small pea-sized fruit native to southern Australia. Varying in colour from green to pink and brown, this distinctive Aussie fruit has a similar texture to a blueberry, and boasts an interesting alchemy of flavours. Somewhere between spiced apples and blueberry in flavour, complimented by delicate clove notes, Muntries are exceptionally versatile, and can dial up the flavour of any sweet or savoury dish. Whether eaten raw, stewed or pickled, Muntries make for a unique and nutritious alternative to conventional berries.
