Rinse and remove small seed before use. Thaw frozen fruit between 1-5 degrees Celsius, and store refrigerated. Consume within 3-4 days.
The fruit can be used sliced fresh, juiced, pickled, or cooked.
In sweet applications, use sugar to cut the acidity.
Potential Antioxidant Activity: Some native Australian plants have been found to contain compounds with antioxidant properties. Antioxidants can help protect cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. While there is limited research on the specific antioxidant compounds in Native Currants, it’s possible that it contains substances with antioxidant activity.
Immune System Support: Traditional uses of the plant suggest that it may have been used to support the immune system. This could be due to its potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which may contribute to immune system health.
