Commonly referred to as the water apple or bell apple, Rainforest Cherries originate from the tropical regions of eastern Australia. Described as the love child of a watermelon and a cherry, this captivating fruit is a bright pink to red in hue, and offers a refreshing, crisp and juicey texture. Flavour-wise Rainforest Cherries boast a delightful balance of sweet and tangy cherry-rose flavours, with an interesting tannin dryness. This exotic fruit is best applied in sweet dishes, however it also offers a delightfully sweet and tangy contrast when used in savoury dishes. Rinse before use.
